Our a nice size room was complete with a view of the mountain forest and a private bath, for instance. Location: the hotel was so close to the beautiful mountains, common areas, and the forest in the mountains. Kurama district was worth visiting.

Peace, quiet, and relaxation. After a week amidst the crowds in Kyoto, we were in desperate need of tranquility. Kurama Onsen, located just 30 minutes north of Kyoto, provided the perfect escape. Surrounded by tall trees, rolling hills, and a serene village, we found ourselves immersed in a peaceful oasis. The hot springs were a godsend, instantly melting away any stress or tension. The elderly couple who run the place were delightful, and the food was top-notch. The area itself has a mystical vibe, and we highly recommend visiting Kurama-dera, the temple in the mountains. we had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend this hotel.

A truly authentic Japanese experience - sleeping on a futon, wearing a yukata, and enjoying a traditional Kaiseki meal. The service exceeded our expectations and the food was absolutely amazing. The hot springs were a perfect way to relax after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. Despite the language barrier, the staff made sure we felt comfortable and taken care of. I highly recommend this hotel for a unique and memorable stay.

We recently had an amazing onsen experience in Japan. The location was perfect, as it was nestled among beautiful scenery and easily accessible by train and bus. The facilities were clean and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The outdoor onsen was definitely one of the best aspects of our stay, offering a peaceful and relaxing environment. We also loved the traditional dinners, which were beautifully presented and delicious.
We did have some negative experiences during our stay. Some guests were rude and inconsiderate, talking loudly in the communal baths and disrupting the serenity of the environment.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was absolutely stunning, nestled in a tranquil area surrounded by vibrant autumn leaves. It was so peaceful and serene, perfect for a getaway from the bustling city. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to assist me with any questions or requests I had. The room amenities were top-notch, with a comfortable sitting area, in-room safe, and free Wi-Fi. I also appreciated the complimentary toiletries and the television with an AM/FM alarm clock. The dining restaurant served delicious meals, including a scrumptious breakfast.
This place is highly recommended for families looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

Had a fantastic Thanksgiving experience at this traditional Japanese inn. the staff was really friendly and accommodating, and always willing to help with our needs. Loved the beautiful outdoor hot springs, and the four-course dinner and aesthetic breakfast provided were a real treat. the location was perfect, with stunning scenery and easy accessibility to nearby attractions.
The only point of concern was the noise level in the public baths. It would have been great if the management could enforce a rule of silence, so that guests could fully immerse themselves in the serene ambiance of the hot springs.
